Dr Tracey Walmsley is the dentist behind Dental Mob, a mobile service that brings proper clinical dental care straight to patients across the Great Southern instead of making them travel for it. Birmingham University trained with a Fellowship in Dental Surgery, she's worked in oral surgery in the UK and on community dental projects in Uganda, Nepal, Papua New Guinea and China. These days that experience goes into treating people in their own homes, in aged care, and at both Albany hospitals.

Why choose Dental Mob?

  • Genuinely mobile: home visits, aged care homes, and both Albany hospitals, with regular runs further into the Great Southern
  • UK-trained with a Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDS RCPS) and a special interest in oral surgery, including wisdom teeth and complex extractions
  • Full clinical range on board: exams, digital x-rays, tooth-coloured composite fillings, root canal treatment, crowns and veneers
  • International community dental background, from setting up a clinic in Uganda to training clinicians in Nepal
  • Accepts Medicare and concession cards, so cost doesn't rule you out of decent dental care

Give Tracey a call or text to find out when the van's next near you.

[{"order":1,"question":"Which towns does Dental Mob cover?","answer":"Dental Mob is based in Albany and travels regularly to Kendenup, Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun, on top of home visits, aged care homes and both Albany hospitals within Albany itself. Tracey brings a fully equipped mobile dental surgery to each of these communities, so residents don't have to travel to a fixed clinic for routine or complex care."}, {"order":2,"question":"How do I find out when the van is in my town?","answer":"Dental Mob partners with local councils and community Facebook groups to announce upcoming visits at least two weeks in advance, and details are often posted on local library, community centre and school noticeboards too. If you're not sure of the next date, call or text Tracey directly to confirm."}, {"order":3,"question":"What should I bring to my appointment?","answer":"Bring your Medicare card and any concession card you hold, along with a current list of medications, known allergies and details of your general health. This helps Tracey complete a quick medical history and consent form before treatment begins."}, {"order":4,"question":"Do you accept walk-ins?","answer":"Yes, walk-ins are welcome whenever the schedule allows, though pre-booked appointments always take priority. If you're in the area and overdue for a check-up, it's worth stopping by or texting ahead to see if there's a spot free."}, {"order":5,"question":"Who is the mobile service best suited to?","answer":"Dental Mob is designed for residents of rural and remote communities who face a long drive to the nearest dentist, people with limited mobility or transport access, and anyone in aged care. It's also a practical option if local waitlists are long or you're eligible for a government dental scheme, like CDBS for children, but don't have a local provider who accepts it."}]
